Why, Hello There...

I want to start this post by saying what I'm doing, and the results I'm seeing, would be absolutely impossible without the support and encouragement I've received. I've got my wonderful guy, a great community on Fitocracy , and now I've leaked this onto my Facebook and have watched the inspiring words roll in. I desperately need the encouragement, and people have been handing it to me in spades. That being said, this is a guest post from my beloved Bearded Wonder. Be nice to him. =) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Hello everyone!   What's good?   This is “him”, her guy, her fiance, Adrian.   I guess I'm affectionately referred to here and over the interwebs as, the Bearded Wonder.   I'm here writing this blog post because I want to chime in about this wonderful thing she is doing, her blogging the journey to live the healthy lifestyle.   I want to g

5.5

Friends. Today is a big day. So big, in fact, that I first typed "Friday" instead of "Friends". Do you know what today is? Yes yes, it's International Tiara Day, National Wig Out Day, Heat Awareness Day (ironic given that it's 60 degrees here…), and Don't Fry Day. (See here if you don't believe me!) Today is also the day that I measured myself and found out I've lost 5.5 inches since April 23rd. Do we read each other clearly? I've lost 5.5 inches in a month! <Commence Freak Out> AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! </Commence Freak Out> That's right. I just made my own goofy HTML for this. That just happened. This is a big deal for me though, friends! I got on the scale and admittedly was a little bit disappointed. But then I remembered that today is the day I get to measure myself (I'm only doing it monthly), and whipped out the trusty(-er than usual) measuring tape. I couldn

I'm tired, ya'll.

I don't say "ya'll" often. I think I'm too tired to think of a different way of addressing the general populace. Plus, saying "I'm tired, general populace" is just too darn long. Anyway. I went to the gym today despite reeaalllly not wanting to. I'm glad I did though! I mean I'm sore and sleepy, but I think that's what'll make this weekend so nice, since I won't work out at all Saturday or Sunday. But I think going to the gym Monday-Friday makes up for that. =) I've officially started adding cardio in to my workouts, so I can be wedding dress ready in a few short months! My week should look like this when I'm done: Monday: 30 mins Workout A from NROLFW Tuesday: 30 mins kick butt elliptical time + bench dips Wednesday: 30 mins Workout B from NROLFW Thursday: 30 mins kick butt elliptical time, no bench dips. The Redhead is sore. Friday: 30 mins kick butt workout A from NROLFW A month-ish ago I would've slappe

VICTORY!!!!

Sweet, sweet victory!! "Can you feel that? Huh huh?!" I went to the gym today!! Wooooo!!!!  I haven't gone in a week and a half due to my bronchitis, and today I said "NOT AGAIN, COUGH!". Really that's the only thing bugging me now is a constant cough. Thankfully it's calming down day by day, and I decided this was the day I'd try it again. I didn't cough a ton, so that was nice (probably for all my fellow gym goers as well!). I did have to lower weights on a few though which was a bummer, but something's better than nothing, right? AND I only ate ½ my [large] wrap + a crap ton of watermelon at lunch. I'm feeling pretty good. =) Thanks Jim, you've always been there buddy.
